Here at the bigscapacleanup, we have been having a big spring clean. The first draft of the website bashed its way round all the contributors to receive input from all the team and some pretty significant changes have been made.
Firstly and most obviously we are now the bigscapacleanup.co.uk rather than Ghostfishing.org.uk. The name change came as the project changed emphasis. In Scapa we will run a project with specific aims: there will be a Ghostfishing week organised and an App developed along the way. By narrowing the objectives we were able to outline roles and objectives more clearly to establish a tighter collaboration. The Ghostfishing.org.uk tag will be used in a wider national Gostfishing campaign with plans unveiled as details come together.
The core team at the heart of the bigscapacleanup now have a clear roadmap ahead of us. This team have established a base camp with a small group of initial collaborators from where we can take the project to a second round of wider interested parties and grow the community.
The App has a spec sheet which is being circulated to potential developers and a costing obtained. The plan is to have a working demo ready by the end of the month.
Keep you eyes peeled on the site and we will update as things progress!
